He attended Olmos Elementary, Nimitz Junior high, and Robert E Lee High School in North east independent school district in San Antonio.

In Fort Worth, David volunteered with local law enforcement and continued to support local law enforcement in San Antonio. He volunteered at the San Antonio Fire Museum. David served as Santa Claus while volunteering at the museum. He served as a greeter at Northrock church.

David was a great supporter of live music. He had an idea to bring people together to support live music. He created The Grill at Leon Springs Fun Club which is now known as The San Antonio Fun Club. The club has 314 members. Those members are informed of local music events each week.

David was the Jam Master for the R&R Musicians luncheon and Pro Jam session at Las Chiladas for two years. He was the Jam Master for The Rob Sturgis Pro Freedom Jam at Las Chiladas. He is also a member of the San Antonio Blues Society.

David loved to encourage musicians and offer his assistance wherever possible. David was kind and loving, courageous and compassionate, humorous and inspirational, and full of joy and faith. He has left behind a lot of broken hearts, but he did life with class and lived it to the fullest. He will be missed.
